I've been a Belly Dancer for over 9 years. I've studied from international stars like Shahrzad and Sadie Marquardt, as well as local instructors like Bella Jovan and Suzanna Davis. I started a little late in the game, having been an athlete most of my youth. But the truth is, it's NEVER too late to start something new! This is the type of dance that's good for all bodies, ages, and cultures. My FAVORITE is dancing to live music, but I am also good with recorded music. I have a band or 2 that can be hired to play with me as well.

As I said before, I started out as an athlete. I played and coached volleyball, was on Varsity basketball and ran a bit. Actually, I got so bored during the COVID Pandemic, that I found that I still love working out in any shape or form. Belly Dance is a great source of exercise, but when you're already a dancer, that isn't enough. Your body gets used to the same movements all the time. So that's where RAKSAFIT comes in. You can deepen and strengthen your base belly dance moves, while also working your core muscles with cardio drills like planks, crunches and kicks. I also go into detail about how each move can help align your chakras and strengthen your internal energies as well as your external physique!
We all know that the COVID pandemic has left us wondering if anything will ever be back to normal. Since you're already transitioning, try belly dancing! It looks hard, and there is a lot of muscle movement that you aren't used to or haven't ever tried, but you CAN do it! It just takes practice! You'll be helping your health, chakras, balance, posture, strength and confidence along the way. It's pretty magical.
